All are welcome to join Nanny Assis and Maggie Gould for Brazilian Jazz Workshops and have fun, in a warm, encouraging, uplifting, energising environment. Both experienced international touring musicians from New York. Nanny Assis is an award winning artist, lifetime achievement in Brazilian Jazz also best male vocalist 2017, composer, percussionist. Maggie and Nanny will be offering two consecutive workshops which you can take together or individually.
Vocal technique with Seth Riggs (Stevie Wonder uses this), rhythm, arrangements, telling a story, phrasing, the business of music is talked about, also how to create work, and tours. We have fun while developing your voice – Nanny is the most engaging performer to get you inspired! We end with a fun concert for all to participate in. All aspects of jazz performance will be covered,
August 2nd to the 7th will focus on building technique and musical skills.
August 8th to the 14th will focus on performance, working on songs and preparing for the concert.
Arrive by August 2nd. The workshops start in the evening of the 2nd until the morning of August 15th. The student concert performance held in the town of Karystos will be the evening of the 14th. Departure Is the morning of the 15th.
Fees include room, all meals and one workshop. Simply double these prices if you decide to take both.

To get to the workshop you can take a taxi from Athens International Airport to the port of Rafina. There you take a one hour ferry to Marmari Port and another taxi to the retreat center in Bouros. Car pooling will be available.
